Product introduction:
ANSI gate valve is designed with a wedge ring in the body cavity and packing. When the valve is opened and closed, the wedge ring moves left and right. This movement creates a pressure zone that causes the packing to rotate and lock it against the gate valve sleeve. Gate valves do not have an internal stem like other valves. When the valve stem rotates, the packing is forced against the gate (similar to a ball valve) to open or close the outlet.
